"I usually don’t have an issue with the Bergman Cancer Center, but this visit seemed extremely rushed and it caused severe side effects for me. They used a vein in my hand (against my wishes they claimed they couldn’t find a better vein) and attempted to run the IV extremely fast which was causing pain. I had to ask several times for them to slow it down. This seemed to make them agitated (they appeared to be very nice about it but you can tell when you are asking for too much). Then, they didn’t run the entire saline bag after my iron IV treatment. This is causing me side effects I have never experienced before! Headache. Joint pain. Extreme tiredness. I was wondering why I was leaving and the saline bag was so full but didn’t question it until yesterday, 8/25, my second treatment In this series was on 8/24 and I have had at least 4-5 iron treatments before with NO issue of side effects. It was when my ankles knees and shoulders began to ache almost simultaneously that I reviewed what was different about this visit in my mind! At the hospital they aren’t as rushed and don’t make you feel like you are just another number in the quota, however nice they are when they do it."
