"Takoma Park MS is an awesome school! I participated in the magnet programs, and all my magnet classes were the best. I can't say anything about the normal teachers that teach the STEM classes(math, science) but I can say almost all of the magnet teachers were great. The electives and clubs are wonderful, especially Difference Makers. I'm gonna miss it, when I go to high school next year!"

"Takoma Park just has an awesome, inspiring atmosphere that makes you want to do great things. The extra-curricular activities are organized and presented extremely well, and the activities I've attended have all been stellar. The teachers all know what they're doing and are friendly; I've never been afraid to talk to them about anything. They are always willing to give extra time to make sure that you're clear on a concept. The conditions of the school are excellent. I've gained a lot from this school and if the choice was mine to make again I would choose Takoma over my home school in an instant. If you want a good education and skills to last you for the rest of your life, I would suggest Takoma Park MS."

"Simply an amazing school. I have made some excellent friends there, and it is a great program. This school prepares you for high school better amazingly well. The magnet program is simply amazing, and the English and other non-STEM departments are simply amazing. The orchestra and band at this school are some of the best in the nation, and it has a great selection of after-school activities. The math department in this school is the best in my opinion, offering all sorts of options for different skill levels. The math teachers do an excellent job, and are always open to helping students. A simply amazing school."

"I am a student at TPMS and frankly, I don't know how I would have survived in any other school. The teachers are amazing, especially the magnet teachers. They really know how to capture your attention, keep a class fun, and teach concepts in an interesting way, and are good at helping you when you don't understand anything. The pace was very good too, not too fast and not too slow. The community was equally good, with many kids I could relate too, get help from, and learn from. The extracurricular classes were fun. Having an 8-period schedule was helpful for all the classes but most of all Orchestra, because we actually had time after tuning to play. In French we had the same teacher for all 3 years, which was definently a plus. Overall, I would definently recommend going to Takoma Park Middle School."
