"Used to go to the school. Honestly not a good experience. Teachers where rude, students were meh, and the overall experience takes away from the learning. You'd get a better education at the lowest rated public school in the area."
"My son attended this school for one year. We wanted to like the school but we’ve come to the realization that St. Pius X is not for black boys. They were a little too quick to recommend another year of preschool for my son instead of working with him. As it turns out, he was more than ready for kindergarten and is thriving at his current school. Why recommend another year of preschool at age four? Why not work with him more if you felt he wasn’t ready? There were zero behavioral issues, only issues around focus however he was only four years old. When we asked the teacher if his lack of focus was age appropriate, she replied yes. Sooooo why would was the recommendation to redshirt him for kindergarten. If I’d listened, he would have lost a whole academic year for no reason. This wasn’t the place for my son and I’m glad he doesn’t go here anymore."
"Very friendly Catholic Church. If you go there for any Mass expect to be greeted by friendly parish members who would like to make you feel at home. Check out the cafe after Mass for some fellowship, coffee and donuts."
"I was looking for a church home after moving to Bowie and I definitely found it in St Pius. The very first homily I heard moved me to tears. Father Mike Jones is simply wonderful, and the missions and ministries he has fostered here make this church a vital, active, and caring part of the community. There is a place for everyone here. If you are looking for a church where you can truly become a part, please come!"
"It's amazing the impact that SPX has made in my life! My faith has grown tremendously, and I love the sense of community that I feel here. Homilies are always spot on, with take aways to help me through the week. There are so many ministries, big and small, babysitting and SLAM for my kids, a cafe for fellowship, and the CRHP retreats are truly life-changing. I would recommend this parish to anyone in the area looking for a church home."
