"I am a 3 varsity athlete, & proud to say , I was on the varsity lacrosse team from 96-99 , & the 99 lacrosse team, that won the MIAA A conference title. We were also was ranked #1 in the nation, & ranked #1 in the nation my jr yr in 98 before we were upset by st. Paul's school in the semi finals. I also was a 3 year varsity football starter, & 4 yr player, as well as a 1 year basketball varsity player my sophomore year... Anyway , i was a scholarship student obviously in the scholarship program that allowed me tge wonderful opportunity to even attend the mcdonogh school. If it wasn't for financial aid/ a dr./alum, I'd have never been able to afford the cost of tuition, especially being a 4 year boarder! Boarding was a wonderful experience, everyone was friendly as far as staff, & I made friends very quickly. It's the best school in Maryland, & definitely 1 of the top 10 schools in the country in my opinion. I HIGHLY recommend mcdonogh for anyone choosing schools! Coach Damico, the head football coach, taught me more about life, and the game of football than I'd ever learn in 4 years, than if I read about the x's & o's of the game for days! Everyone is so nice, & there are always alum donating millions of dollars or a lot of money, which is why we have such a beautiful roughly 800 acre campus with a state of the art stadium, field house, weight room, Olympic sized pool, aet center/theatre, etc. Thank you mcdonogh family!
