"My daughter has been coming here for 2 years now and she loves it. We unfortunately had to take a hiatus due to COVID but got back on track and my daughter's enthusiasm has never wavered. My daughter routinely has such a good time at her practices that she can't wait to get home and practice more. That is a quality I attribute to her teacher and Mrs. Joanne is fantastic. Her rates are very reasonable and she teaches out of her home. She has a room for the piano and a room for the family to wait one room over. She does expect shoes off and for students to wash their hands prior to playing. She keeps the place very neat and germ free. She has all the books necessary thus when one book is done, she already has the next one lined up. The books get added to the monthly tuition but there is no up charge. Aside from playing, she has the students learn flash cards to make reading music naturally easy and also to work on theory as well which she assigns as homework. For the younger kids, she rewards their hard work with stickers, which just happens to be my daughter's favorite thing. She gets a really good feel for the student she works with and finds a great pace to work with them. Her only expectation is that every child student perform at the recital at the end of the school year. We wouldn't come back unless we thought it was great value, educational, and enjoyable of which Mrs. Joanne hits all three. We happily drive about 30 minutes to get to her weekly. I would highly recommend her."
