"I wanted to support black owned businesses. I thought highly or Sankofa that I chose them to care for me and my girls. It was a disappointment that I couldn’t register my youngest. Once you are in the care is ok. Can’t complain. They do their job nothing more nothing less. Beatrice is nice an does her job. Nothing more nothing less. Everything is a referral. No knowledge of stuff it’s check with a specialist. It is pointless unless you are getting a physical. To me the communication is off. I have stated my concerns of the lack of communication. They barely answer the phones and THEY DO NOT RETURN CALLS! It is annoying to me. It’s always an apology or they’re very busy. The response is becoming very cliché. I am out of medicine and the pharmacy has sent communication for a refill. 8days ago well it’s about 10 now. I have also left a message a week ago for migraine prescriptions and no one has called to clarify my needs. I left a message today, so I will see how long it will take for a return call. I am most definitely looking for another practice."

"I don't go to the doctor's office often. I feel like the rush you and barely spend time with you while you are in the office. I'm so glad that I had the complete opposite experience at Sankofa Health. I had a physical with Beatrice and she was fantastic! I was seen on time and her bedside manner was awesome. She took her time and explained everything and really got to know me as a patient. I'm so glad that I have finally found a doctor's office that I actually want to go to."

"I came to Sankofa Health because I recently relocated to the DC area and my insurance is still in my last state of residence. I needed a low cost alternative and this was it. The low cost does not equate to low quality. I have come for routine annual exams and urgent care issues and have always been treated well. Chyna is awesome! Professional and engaging, has such a warm personality and good energy. Dr. Beatrice and Dr. Collete are fabulous and thorough. The owner Marcus is personable and really stands behind the mission. Had a minor issue with a visit and he personally called and corrected it. I drive from DC to this facility because I know I won't be able to find better. Extra points for it being Black Owned!"

"I'm not one to write reviews like that, but because of the exceptional service I received during my visit at the health center, I had to share my thoughts. The entire staff is friendly, even the owners greet you (what business does that?). The environment is super clean, peaceful, and comfortable. I didn't have an appointment and still received in and out service, all while feeling like my needs were met and questions answered. Also, I loved the music being played. It helped me to relax. I will definitely be returning to this black-owned health center. Peace and blessings."

"Really good service and so glad to have this center in my community. I had an emergency that I couldn't wait a week to see my PCP for. After calling and speaking with the front desk staff and then the actual practitioner who would be seeing me, they confirmed that my concern would be addressed and that a solution would be had. I was in and out within about 30 mins and worked with Dr. Collette who answered all my questions and was very thorough. The owners also gave me a small gift on the way out which was a sweet touch and made me feel very welcomed. I will definitely be back and would recommend this center without a doubt!"
