"I could write a novel about how bad this practice is but I’ll just give you the highlights from the past 3 years. I have been with this practice for 3 years. Two male doctors are so rude and impatient. I was asked a question and then was rudely interrupted in the middle of my answer. This happens often. I always leave feeling stupid and my concerns are not heard. I had to beg for a referral for the ENT, which I did not get, so I had to go elsewhere. Turns out my 2 year old had severe sleep apnea with an 85% obstruction of his airway. He had to have his tonsils and adenoids removed. When I brought these concerns to his primary pediatrician, he told me that he was fine, snoring was normal, frequent night wakings was normal and he would grow out of it. But I was right and his quality of life has greatly improved because he’s not waking up multiple times a night. This last appointment was the turning point which prompted me to switch practices. This new dr, who has never met my son, dismissed every single concern I brought to him and had the audacity to laugh at me when I asked for an endocrinology referral because my 5 y niece was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer. My son is displaying some of the same symptoms and I, myself have hashimotos. I asked multiple times and tried to advocate for my son to which this dr told me “you will not get an endocrinology referral, your son is fine”. Well, with prior experience with not getting a referral and my son ended up needing surgery, I think it’s absolutely ridiculous to tell a mother her 3 year old is fine when you have only met him for 5 minutes. If this dr didn’t interrupt me every time I spoke, maybe he would have had a bigger picture of why I was asking for the referral. I have never in my life been spoken to the way that man spoke to me. He was so abundantly rude and condescending. I felt like he squashed me like a grape. My son had been complaining about back pain and spinabifida runs in the family. I asked if it was a possibility and again was waved off as if I’m some crazy lady. I went for a second opinion and was immediately sent to a spine specialist at Hershey after seeing X-ray results. I respect drs but I can’t get on board with not listening to parents who are with these children 24/7. Bedside manner and listening are important things when practicing medicine."

"You don't want to work with these practices. Since they became wellspan, they have not been able to see my sick child the past 3 times I called to get an appointment. We were existing patients since his birth, he is now 7, and they actually sent us to Urgent Care both times. They are unhelpful, never open, even today went I stopped to sign to move to a new doctor, their practice is mysteriously just closed without any online warning or other attempt to help me save a trip. Now I'm forced to travel to York."

"Bedside manner isn’t so great with some doctors. There’s a lack of patience with normal childhood behavior as in questions and impulsivity. I left feeling judged as a parent, especially when I was given a number for parental counseling without my request."
