What I appreciated most is her deep knowledge of color and how the tile would look in both natural and artificial light. She also helped us choose grout colors - something I’ve learned the hard way really does matter - and sent us on our way in about an hour. In the Rockville area there are many choices- everything from the ultra cheap to the richy snobs, and I felt that Best Tile offered great products at fare prices. We will definitely use them again."

"Beautiful and extensive selection of tile at this location. However, we were made to feel so unwelcome that we opted to take our business elsewhere. We were the only customers in the showroom when we arrived. Neither of the two employees on the floor acknowledged us in any way or asked if we needed help, which didn't trouble us in the slightest until one of them began loudly complaining to the other -- while standing just a few feet from us -- about how annoying it was to have to reorganize after customers put tile samples back in the wrong places, and how the store really needed to put up signs saying "please ask for assistance" so that customers wouldn't mess up the sample displays. We were indeed looking at/handling sample tiles, but everything we had touched had been replaced exactly where we found it (and as she made her comments, the employee was reorganizing a shelf of tiles we hadn't even been near). As someone who's worked in retail, I can understand her frustration, and it's possible the comments weren't specifically directed at us...but the fact that she chose to vent right next to us in an otherwise empty (and very large) showroom sure made it feel like she wanted us to hear. It sent the message that customers were viewed as a nuisance, and that we shouldn't have dared to touch the displays at all...which felt especially unwelcoming given that no one had made any attempt to see if we needed help at any point during our visit. We left shortly thereafter, went to a competitor, and will be making our not-insubstantial tile purchase from them...they seemed more than happy to work with us."

"A great friendly place to buy tile. I had a couple of good experiences there: first time with my designer and the second time using their salesperson. My kitchen designer helped me make great choices, as I expected she would. When it came to my bathroom, I didn't hire a designer but worked with Cindy at Best Tile. She was very helpful and I am very satisfied with the choices I made with her."
