Caterpillar Lane Preschool

"Amidst COVID it was very hard to find a preschool for my son to attend, somehow I found caterpillar lane and Laura and it was like a match made in heaven! I don’t think We could have had a more positive experience. Laura cares about her students as individuals, and she has such a positive and patient energy that she brings to her class! All of the students in my sons class were awesome kids, and the classroom was a clean and calming learning environment! The curriculum impressed me on multiple occasions, they learn through play and laura sends photos throughout the day and communicates your child’s progress and what they are learning! We also brought home school projects to see almost every day! My child loved going to school at caterpillar lane and asked everyday if it was a school day. Pricing was fair and Laura even offered make up days if we missed a day! At the end we had a graduation which was adorable and I felt comfortable with the social and academic skills my son acquired in preschool! We will miss Laura and caterpillar lane very much! Laura sets the standard for wonderful childcare and teaching."

"My son absolutely loved playing and learning with Mrs. Laura! Her smaller class size in a home setting allows for a more calm, consistant and stable learning environment. My son is on the spectrum and did not do as well in a typical loud daycare setting where he was moved between 3 different rooms with different teachers throughout the day. She was able to spend one on one time with him when need be to help him through his social and emotional struggles, providing a quiet place for him to go to get calm. She was able to accommodate modifications like the rocking chair I brought in to help him sit still during teaching and activities. She took the time to build a positive relationship with him, which is so important to connect before you can correct. Her caring, patient and positive energy shines through, you can tell she genuinely loves her job and the children she teaches. Her curriculum was great, doing lots of interesting learning through play activities and outdoor fun like obsticle courses and water play. She was very clean and organized with a variety of toys for free play time. Her prices were fair and she even offered make up days when available when he would miss days. She did great at communicating with us and would always be quick to respond to anything I reached out to her for. She even sent pictures of him learning and playing which meant so very much to see! We are very thankful for the time we had with her and will miss her very much! ❤"

"I could go on and on about this preschool! For the first three years of my son's life he stayed at home. At that point, we decided to find a preschool for him to learn and socialize! We ended up choosing Caterpillar Lane and couldn't be happier about that choice! My son's adjustment was a tough one as he had never done anything like this before. However, Miss Laura was patient, kind and took him under her wing. A year and a half later, I still feel just as good about choosing this school! My son is learning so much and doing so many fantastic activities; both for fun and learning! He is never bored for sure! Miss Laura is a great communicator. She uses an app to let us know about his day, send pictures and more! She also shows a desire to work together with the families as a partnership to do what is best for the child! When I leave my child in her care, I am confident that he is safe, loved, cared for and having fun! All in the setting of a cozy, home environment with lots of one on one. We are so grateful to have our son with Miss Laura and her preschool. When the time comes for him to move on to Kindergarten, we certainly will miss her! She puts so much time and effort into the program as well as each child individually."

"I honestly do not think you could find a better care giver for your child! Miss Laura is intelligent, compassionate, loving, dependable, and full of energy. This is not your average in-home babysitter. Laura runs her business just as you would find at a daycare center. The children have a schedule which consists of play, music, learning, art and much more in a comfortable, family-like setting. Laura uses technology to keep parents' minds at ease by updating children's activities, sleeping habits, and eating habits throughout the day. She consistently stays up-to-date with learning theories and incorporates this knowledge into her daily schedule. She educates and encourages parent involvement at home which is complimentary to what the children are learning during the day. (But don't worry, it's not mandatory because life is busy and I do not get around to it much... even if I have the best intentions!) She accommodates parent's wishes to the best of her ability (from dietary to discipline). I breast fed my daughter and she was always conscious not to waste! When my daughter transitioned to milk, Laura worked with us as my daughter had some adverse reactions and had to be on almond milk instead. Before we found Laura, we went through two at-home sitters and three day cares. I am picky when it comes to my children and could not be happier!"
