"This review is LONG overdue, truly. But I highly recommend Le loft salon. Before trying Le Loft, I had basically gone to one salon almost all my life. Even after I moved to Philly I drove to central NJ to my old stylist up until about a year ago when it became too much. At that point I started transitioning from relaxer so that I could begin the process of locing my hair. I went to one other salon in Philly before trying Le Loft and had poor experiences because my (very course) natural hair was getting tangled with my permed hair. Additionally, after telling that salon that I wanted to protect my hair from large amounts of heat, they proceeded to apply extensive heat (blow dry, flat iron and hot comb) claiming my hair was too course. Finally, after trying to do my own transitioning hair for a while,I found Le Loft and the stylist (who I LOVE) Marty. She used minimal heat and got my hair straight without heat damage. Le Loft also makes and used an amazing deep conditioner to protect my hair and keep it HEALTHY and manageable without lots of heat or a painful blowout. By the time I had enough hair to start locing, my hair was healthy and ready to go in spite of the fact that I straightened it up until I began to loc. I'm 4 months in now to a healthy loc journey and I don't think that would be the case if I had not gone to Le Loft, to Marty especially to have my hair cared for and styled."

"I can't begin to describe how wonderful this salon is. Since 2013, I go to Nae for my hair- the owner/stylist is knowledgeable as well. I have 4B/4G natural hair (since 2011, BC 2012) and she does a great job caring for my hair. To date I have had no heat damage with her. She understands the difference between trimming and cutting. No matter the condition of my hair when I walk in, it looks great walking out. Both stylists do relaxed hair, color, and weaves. The prices are reasonable. Also do your hair a favor and get the deep conditioning treatment."
