"P&J cleaners does not provide good altering service. They'll tell you your clothes will be altered in two weeks, and they'll not be ready for three or four weeks! They will also lose your clothes like they did my favorite jean dress, and they wont compensate you! I'd never recommend them to my worse enemy!"

"Been using these people for five years. Now have some cantankerous woman in the place - used to be owner, good guy. Take 10-20 shirts to them per month plus dry cleaning. Now they are destroying buttons on my shirts, ripping one right off the shirt. Last straw was last week trying to drop off ten shirts and have one repaired. Woman said "you now have to pay in advance when you drop shirts off" Said, "fine you have lost me as a customer" grabbed my ten shirts and left. Wish I could get in touch with owner as I believe he would make it right."

"Don't be swayed by these old reviews on here! Service is spot on and my clothes are always clean! They even press and starch, which gives clothes that extra pop. Turn around times surprise me on how fast they get the clothes done. Will be back today!"

"I brought 4 of my husband's dress shirts, and my nice, wool overcoat to be cleaned. My husband's shirts had some serious body oil stains around the collars. My coat was just needing a cleaning and lint control. I picked them up, my husband's shirts were miraculously clean (despite my efforts to clean them at home). My overcoat was like new, but it was missing a button. I went to the main store in Prince Frederick (my drop-off and pick-up was in Lusby), and they took a pic of my button and tag, and said they'd let me know if they find it, and that they'd sew it back on for me. About an hour later, I got a call from the Lusby location that they had found my button! I was impressed that that I was called about the button by the local location, even though I asked about it at the main store less than an hour earlier. Buttons get loose and lost all the time - it happens - but I was impressed by how quickly they looked for it, found it, and let me know they had it."

"Worst business ever! I "knew" the owners husband Phillip through our kids playing football together and I've always dealt with him as she was never there when I went by. I recently went in with 2 king sized comforters. I was going to just buy 2 new ones but I thought maybe I should help out a local small business of someone I "knew" instead - if the price wasn't too much. The comforters were cheap $60 down alternative comforters so I specifically asked him if they could get the stains out (old blood stain on one and food stains on the other) he said "Absolutely! The people we send them to can get anything out!" I asked him how much and he said "King Comforters are $30 each", I again asked if he was sure they could remove them because that was half the price of a new one and he again said "Yes! But do you have another comforter to use because we send them out and it will take a week to get back!" I said "Yes, and thanks!" Fast forward to when its time to pick them up I send my husband to get them. He comes home and I notice these little cards inside that say something along the line of "this is to inform you we didn't overlook your stain but sometimes they cannot be removed!" I open up the comforter shocked to see it looks almost the same as when I took it in still with stains and there was now a large yellow stain also in the middle of the comforter that wasn't there before. I called and asked to speak to Phillip but he wasn't in so someone put me on the phone with his wife. I explained to her what was said and she said "He should've never told you that we could absolutely get them clean, we can't get every stain out!" She said "I cleaned them myself and it was the best I could do but I cant get old blood stains out or urine stains (there was NO urine) and if I use too much cleaner it will discolor the comforter", (I never mentioned the new yellow stain to her but I now know where that came from) She said "we wont be able to get any of those old stains out". I asked for a refund of half of what I paid because I felt that to be fair to both of us. She refused saying "I don't think that's fair at all because I put work into them, but if you want me to try to clean them again I will." I said "Well, I do think its fair, I put money out for them to be cleaned and you just said you cant get old stains out so I don't want to waste my time or yours" She said "I will have my husband call you tonight". I started looking into a dispute against them with my bank and realized they also overcharged me. Phillip never called so I finally went in there and he said the same stuff she did but about how they send them away and their cleaning people are usually very good but he was sorry. I said "according to your wife she cleaned them so you never actually sent them anywhere" and he said "well actually we do because she takes them from here to her cleaning facility and she actually did that twice" (come to find out her cleaning facility is another dry cleaning place in Prince Frederick she owns also) she cleans the comforters there and does not send them anywhere as they suggest. I again told him I felt at least a 50% refund was fair and he said "Sorry this is my wife's business and she isn't going to do that!" I also addressed how they overcharged me and he said "No, those comforters are $38 a piece" I said you quoted me $30, and he said "well I don't know why because right here on my screen it says they are $38." Therefore not only did HE lie about the cost, but he lied about their abilities to clean the items. I am SO disappointed that I allowed my generosity of wanting to help out a small business from someone I "knew" get in the way of what I knew I should've done all along and just bought new ones. I also wish I would've known their bait and switch pricing is a common practice for them! I've heard lots of similar stories since I've begun researching them."
