"My experience has always been a positive one here. The staff is super warm and welcoming. They explain the menu well and give great honest suggestions on food and drink items! Their always taste fresh. This time around, I got a burger cooked medium well and it was perfect. I would definitely return!"

"Decor is slightly odd and even how the tables and booths are set up seems crowded but actually it’s deceptively not. It appears well kept and clean. Service was attentive and friendly. Now there was an extended wait on the food. BUT once the food arrived it was hot and delicious. I had fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits. The tomatoes were excellent!! The shrimp were big and cooked well with lots of seasoning. I would recommend more grits but it was a good dish. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meal."

"Busy and lively bar and restaurant. Servers were friendly. Fun atmosphere. My husband and I ordered burgers, they were medium but the edges were black and over done, middle was medium. Maybe burgers stayed on stove a bit too long. Next time I will order medium rare. The restaurant was very busy with Xmas parties so I understand it was busy. For dessert we shared a brownie Sundae with delicious espresso gelato, YUM!! Will be back to try their other offerings."

"Looking for a place to lunch in Burlington on a Monday, we happened upon The Union House. Apparently there is an oyster special on Mondays but I am not a fan. I am glad I ordered a Reuben. It was very generous and oozed with flavor—salty corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, gooey swiss with thousand island dressing all sandwiched between two hearty slices of rye. Rather than fries, I chose the side salad with a lemon thyme dressing. It added a lightness to the meal. Service was good and prices were reasonable. The menu was not large but I want to return and sample other options."

"The food was abundant and equally delicious. I had the Shrimp & Grits and the hubby had the Fish & Chips. So flavorful, just a hint of heat/spice on the shrimp and the grits were perfect. The fish was done to perfection with a beautiful crisp coating that was not greasy at all. Service was fantastic, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Thank you for a great beginning to our afternoon. Definitely will be back again."
