"I expected to have a professional and smooth experience ordering custom window valances and hardware from Douds , but that’s not what happened. After two months of back and forth communication and two separate measurement appointments, Douds decided that, “Our policy is to only hang draperies we provide and we do not have scaffolding which this would require. The kitchen (arch valances) would be more complicated than our workroom cares to attempt.” Why did they waste my time? They could have expressed their “policy” upon my initial inquiry into purchasing hardware from them, and the initial pictures that I texted to their designer indicated that they would be designing multiple arch valances. Also, the Douds gentleman who did the second set of measurements told me that they have used scaffolding in prior projects. None of it makes much sense, and the poor communication will keep me from ever doing business with this company in the future."
