Additionally, the park is located across from the Community Park Swimming Pool and Community Park South.

In 1992, a section of the park was dedicated as Pettoranello Gardens, offering a unique and serene setting for visitors to explore. The Recreation Department monitors the ice conditions at the pond during the winter months to determine if ice skating is allowed. Fishing enthusiasts can also obtain a fishing permit from the NJDEP Division of Fish and Wildlife to fish at CP North Pond.

"This is actually just the backside of the Johnson lake park. Great park. Saw beavers and a huge snapping turtle. I didn't even know they had beavers in princeton. Surprising lack of ticks, even in tall grass fields"

"Make sure to look at the map before starting your hike if you are not an avid hiker. We did not, we followed the All Trails app and got a lite lost. But the hike was beautiful, a little difficult at times, but SO worth it"
