"So good we went two days in a row. We were up in the area and went to brunch both days due to the quality food and attentive staff. The first day we had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and the special which was a shirt rib omelet. Both dishes were fantastic, the soup was homemade and a perfect compliment to the brioche grilled cheese. We had Alice as our server and they were very attentive and friendly. The second day we had the butternut squash soup, the avocado BLT, and the turkey melt which was the special. The butternut squash soup was the perfect thing for a cold day. Very creamy and thick with hints of warming spices. The avocado BLT was delicious and had plenty of thick bacon with a spicy aioli. We also had the brussel sprouts and they were nice and sweet with the bacon being candied in the syrup. The turkey melt was pretty good, a bit challenging to eat but but the cheese sauce was perfect with the bacon and turkey. The truffle fries were extremely good and not overpowered with truffle oil. We had Corey this day and he was very attentive, friendly, and we had a great conversation with him. The photos are from this meal. We will definitely go back the next time we are in the area. If you are looking for a good brunch spot that has a quality food at a fair price, this is a good choice. You don't have a fan of dogs to enjoy the restaurant."

"White Dog is a nice restaurant with way too much dog decor. It's literally everywhere you look. Other than the copious dog furnishings it's a good looking restaurant. Their prices are typical for eating out but I think their food is a bit above usual, except for the dessert which was boring at best. My bartender was good but not very knowledgeable about restaurant week and gave me the wrong menu, he had to confirm with another bartender on where the proper menu was. He made a great Pear Pressure cocktail though!"

"I really enjoy this restaurant, great cheese boards. The atmosphere is terrific and well themed. I am a true lover of dogs, this restaurant truly exceeds expectations with all the dog art and dog friendliness. You can dine outside with your four-legged companion. This evening we met my brother and girlfriend for dessert. I split a pumpkin cheesecake which was very filling very decadent leaving me absolutely satisfied. Perhaps if you’re a cat person this is not the restaurant for you and that’s fine more dog lovers welcome. On a sidenote, the kids menu is pretty bland and unimaginative. Just order them off the adult menu."

"Summary: This place was an interesting find. There were a lot of elements I liked; some I didn't. I want to go back to try other things. I tried a few things here. Appetizers: Red pepper dip - this dish was delicious and plentiful! I could have just sat down and eaten just this happily. Buffalo Cauliflower wings - So good! The buffalo sauce they made wasn't the store bought stuff that tastes harsh, it was a delicate spicy flavor that really played well with the ranch they gave you. Entrees: Prime rib - My husband ordered this. I'm never a fan of this dish. He liked it. I thought it was fine. The hash brown patty that came with it was really good and the rosemary infused carrots were interestinng. Duck breast - this is what I had. I liked everything but the duck breast. The butternut squash mash was great. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The duck.... Meh. I knew it would be a dicey choice when I ordered it. It said it would have lavender and that made me nervous. The problem wasn't the lavender. I'm fairly certain there was thyme on that duck that was burned because that was the primary flavor there with an aftertaste of lavender. All in all the problem was that the duck played second fiddle to everything else and that's unacceptable! Dessert: Caramel pecan tart - this was very forgettable. Tasted generic. Unfortunate because I am a huge pecan lover. Final judgement: the flavors were interesting enough to warrant a second visit and see what new things they offer. That's the cool thing with farm to table. If you don't like something, it'll likely not exist in 3 months."

"This was my first time experiencing brunch at White Dog Cafe despite hearing about it before. I just hadn't gotten to it yet. The fall brunch menu is up and it's definitely amazing! My favorite was the red pepper and walnut dip. I could eat that all day. The egg grinder with onions and peppers was a treat. I ate my leftovers and still drooled I'd heard of the truffle fries but had forgotten until I received the Avocado BLT. Oh my goodness. The combination of fresh ingredients and the hot fries on the side was amazing. The Pear Pressure cocktail is an absolute must and the pecan tart for dessert is delectable.
