"Absolutely beautiful and pristine natural land within a few minutes of our home! Trails could be marked better, but not too much of a problem."
"I think Hildacy Preserve is great for hiking, but not so great for dipping into the creek. The water is too shallow. I also didn't see much wildlife, besides insects, in the water. No crayfish, no fish in general. I think most people come here for the hiking. Nothing wrong with hiking here, but I like to hike, and then cool off in the creek or river."
"A wonderful protected wildlife area. Well maintained trails with a good mix of wildlife zones. There are a few surprises if you take the time to look around and enjoy. This area includes trails for humans and dogs, a picnic area, good signage with interesting wildlife to see markers, a creek with decent access, and a well paved parking area. Starting off straight ahead from the parking area will lead you down a winding trail to the creek...follow the creek to a nifty water feature crated by Springton Reservoir above you. (see image)"
"First visit here's lots of foot traffic if you're looking for a more secukded hike or time this could suffice but I saw someone every 20-30 minutes. However they were all extremely friendly and curious to what I was doing (rockhounding) had some great conversation and folks pointed me in the directions I wanted to check out rocks. Highly recommend all around"
"Wow superb place. Absolutely natural terrain - walking in the woods, stream and the birds. It's quite educational as well - conservation of plants species / plantation. Worth visiting. Plenty of parking."
