"Hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. The only reason I gave them one star is because I wasn’t sure it would register if I put zero. They “made a mistake” and offered me $62K for an annuity worth $100K. I thought that seemed fair considering they had to wait and I got a lump sum. For months they had me believe this, even gave a cash advance… 2 days before court to finish the transaction they say they “found” an error. They (multiple employees) “misread” my annuity contract and they can only offer me $10K. They pretty much trapped and manipulated me to the point I had no choice but to go through with it. They forgot my name. They promised so many things they just would not honor. This company is garbage."

"As someone who has used this company before, my previous two deals were amazing. However, the team of people assisting me this time have been extremely difficult to work with. Whenever something was needed from me, it was given in a timely fashion. If I had an issue, I was tossed around to multiple people. I received constant misguided information. I worked with Chris, Jacob, and Dan. It has now been almost a week since the completion of my approval hearing with the judge and I still have not received my funds. I also have not received updates from any of the three mentioned, unless I have reached out personally. All updates have been pushing blame with no research as to what is going on. My suggestion would be not using this company. They’re very quick to rush you but not quick to assist you in solving any problems."

"I had an incredibly disappointing experience with JG Wentworth. They not only provided me with misleading information, but they also managed to create a huge mess that I had to deal with. It's disheartening to see a company that should be helping people navigate financial matters instead causing more problems. What's worse, it seems like they have no qualms about taking opportunities away from smaller businesses. Their unethical practices have left me frustrated and questioning their integrity. I would strongly advise others to steer clear of JG Wentworth and explore more trustworthy alternatives. After spewing lies over and over about how I would not have to pay another company’s legal fees (they went above and beyond to reassure me I wouldn’t just so I would choose them) now that I went forward with a smaller company instead they are withholding my funds until they get their legal fees paid back. Although they told me in their own words that they don’t even make their customers pay them back for that kind of thing because there is no basis to do so. They have made an already difficult situation even worse, please do yourself a favor and take the chance with a smaller company, they actually want to help you get this done faster and smoother. I recommend CBC Settlement Funding, they made my process easier and faster. They are evening going about dealing with the mess JG Wentworth made for me and are apologetic for another company’s actions."
