"Two words you don’t often see in the same review: “Ambridge” & “upscale.” Yet here we are. We had a most pleasant dining experience here yesterday. Gotta say- the staff was most attentive and worked to assure our visit was positive. Kudos. Our meal was off of the special menu, so not there every day (catfish! two ways) and the soup du jour (perfectly executed French Onion) may not be available on your visit, but the effort that went into our experience was noted. We’ll return. Friendly staff. Enjoyable. Recommended."

"We ate here for the first time last night based on the recommendation of a local shop owner, I had the Broiled Cod with baked potato, Mahi Mahi topped with peach mango chutney and roasted zucchini as the side. Starting with the cons: It's about an hour and a half away from me. Pros: the cod was probably the best broiled fish I've had from anywhere, it was fall apart flakey and the lemon butter sauce gave it a great flavor without overpowering it. The baked potato was cooked perfectly (soft inside, nice crispy skin on the outside). My wife had the Mahi Mahi mostly gone before I even realized what happened, she said the chutney gave added the perfect blend of sweet and spicy to the fish, the zucchini was roasted in a lemon olive oil, her new favorite way to cook it she said. For dessert she had baklava sundae, it had a eater large and thick piece of baklava under a scoop of ice cream and covered with chocolate. I had the creme brulee with raspberries, it was torched right at the table which was a nice touch to it, the brown sugar was caramelized just right to form a warm layer on top of the cool bottom. I preferred it without the raspberries, they took away from the taste of the actual creme brulee so I ate them separately. Our waiter (who I'm assuming was one of the owners) was wonderful. He was attentive enough to us that we never had to ask for anything and even joked around with us. After our dinner he came over and talked to us for a little while and was an all around awesome guy, even if the food wasn't as amazing as it was the treatment we got from him was enough to make us go back."

"I visited Alexander’s today as I often pass through Ambridge (unfortunately). I was disappointed. I’m not sure who the rude waiter was that everyone was botching about, but our server was super nice. Their menu is OK. Decent selection. Sadly, the bread they were kind enough to give me was microwaved to hell resulting in rolls that were tougher than rocks. The Honey glazed chicken was completely tasteless. The only thing you could taste was honey. No flavors at all, no good notes of aftertaste, no seasonings. I’d really be interested in visiting one more time and trying their pecan ball."
