"I wish I could give less than 1 star. I went through GHS for a new car loan and it was the worst experience I’ve had with a bank. Never again! I received a welcome call since I was a new member which was great however every question I had for that person they didn’t know. I was transferred to someone else. Their system for conducting an external transfer is sub par and not up to standards when you only have a 10 day grace period. Within a month of having this loan I refinanced at another institution and couldn’t be happier with my decision. I had an incredibly hard time getting a copy of my pay off and the first girl I spoke to in customer service was rude and hung up on me before I could even finish what I was saying and never actually sent it. I had to call back hours later and someone was nice enough to send it right away! Upon seeing reviews from others this seems to be all ongoing issues."

"I've been a member for over 40 years and have watched this institution steadily decline over the past 10 to 15 years until it is simply a shadow of what it used to be. Currently I'm dealing with a problem they cannot diagnose, understand, remedy, or resolve. It shouldn't take three weeks for a bill pay service to pay a bill and how can a financial institution possibly have a process they cannot understand, control, or rectify? There appears to be very poor management top to bottom and a great deal of turnover. When you enter the main office you see an empty lobby where a receptionist used to be which simply screams we are not in good shape. The tellers look like they are on their way to the gallows, they are poorly dressed, and I have not seen a smile or received a pleasant greeting there in many many years. I am in the process of shifting my finances to a reputable institution and leaving this mess behind."

"TLDR; GHS is okay if you are looking for a local credit union that you can visit *in person*, but inconvenient if you are not local. Below is my experiences as a customer. Firstly, I have had numerous negative experiences with your customer service. I have been on hold for long periods trying to get a resolution to my issue, and when I finally reach a representative, they do not seem to want to assist or make it difficult to come to a resolution. This has led to frustration and further delays in resolving my concerns. Additionally, as a recent mover, the limited payment options for my loan, being restricted to either check or in-person payments, are highly inconvenient and make managing my finances difficult. While the option of paying by card is available, the imposition of a 3% fee for phone card payments on top of the loan's interest seems unreasonable. Lastly, the user interface for your customer portal is confusing and not user-friendly. I have a hard time navigating the site and finding the information I need. This has caused me to waste a significant amount of time trying to complete simple tasks like checking my account balance or making a transfer. I still cannot figure out how to begin a transfer. I hope that you will take my feedback seriously and work towards improving these areas. As a customer, I expect a higher level of service and reliability from a financial institution. I am happy that my loan will be paid off soon. In the future, I will certainly be looking for a more customer-focused financial institution that has more options for people who are not local to the area."
