"I am sorry to have to write this review, because I do love the browing the products at Shoemaker Country store. I hired Mike Shoemaker in March of 2022 (it is now March of 2023) to create a dining room table from the barnwood I collected from my grandfather's farm in Ohio. We discussed the design and he took a $400 deposit, telling me it would probably be done in the late spring/early summer of 2022. After mutiple assurances that the table would be completed at various times over the course of this year, not only is the table not completed, anyone from the store has ceased to communicate with me about the table. This week I will attempt to get my deposit returned to me along with my grandfather's barnwood. I am a reasonable and understanding person, I believe, and if anyone from the store/Shoemaker family would have contacted me and honestly communicated with me about the hold up, we could have worked something out. I will be posting again here if I am unable to find resolution with them."
