Lampson Reservoir Park

"Lampson is a really nice park. Pretty view of the reservoir with a walk out deck. There are several smaller natural trails that run through the woods. My first visit I took the one loop and it was a little over a mile. I have taken the dog several times since my first review . It's very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful flora and fauna. Great place if you enjoy Bird watching. The woods are dense and I really enjoyed the scenery. I will definitely start frequenting this park more. It can be muddy in spots but you have to expect that with non paved trails. You can tell they have worked hard to improve this park and are continuing to add on it appears. There are no bathrooms but there is a porta potty. There are a few benches along the way if you need a rest. Also a few picnic tables. No grills."

"Don't know if they were cleaning it up or what but there was no water. Never seen it like that before. Still giving at least 4 stars though because it's normally a nice place to go"

"Trash over flowing and someone left a box of whatever next to only picnic table there. Otherwise it was beautiful walking out on the floating deck and seeing the beauty and creatures."

"I tried fishing here on June 25th, 2022. The water is stagnant with 100% coverage by water chestnut, algae, water lillys, spatterdock, etc. This reservoir needs extensive plant management action immediately to be fishermen friendly. The boardwalk and fishing peninsula is nice, but the un-fishable waters make it a terrible experience. I hope the park's manager is taking action to turn this place around by controlling the vegetation asap."

"Beautiful place to fish unfortunately it's very grassy, but also a great place to go for a hike and walk through nature bring the family and the dog just all-around great place"
