"This campground used to be something special, I'm sure, but it looks like it's abandoned now. I can see the issue, the place is very large and I'm sure its difficult to maintain with little to no staff. The pool was closed, mini golf was overgrown. But that didn't stop us from enjoying our weekend in our RV! We brought 2 boats down, and it was nice to dock them under covered slips. My dog had a blast as he was running wild bringing us sticks for the campfire. Beautiful spot on the water not far from the inlet to the Bay, but stick close to the channel markers on the way out as you'll run out of water quick. We had great success crabbing as well! Overall this is a no frills campground and if that's something you enjoy, you'll have a nice time here. The only issue I had was that we brought a tent to pitch outside of the camper, and we had to pay for an additional site just for that, which I found ridiculous since we had a large corner site that the tent would have easily fit on. However they did throw in the boat slips for free because of that, which was nice."

"The campsite was what I expected of a camp ground, the cabin was clean and really nice. The air conditioner worked great, campers were spaced nicely. No evidence of mice or droppings, I was very surprised that there were no issues with mosquitoes. The bathroom and showers were clean and well maintained, lots of hot water. Each cabin had a picnic table along with a firepit and charcoal grill. There was no cell reception (AT&T), however my friend has T-Mobile she was able to receive and send calls. It was a nice change of pace from the suburbs, listening to the sounds of nature as we sat by the campfire. My experience for the 2 night stay was great!"

"Our camp site was really clean and we had no problems with bugs (ticks, spiders, ants, mosquitos etc.) People were spaced really well and not a lot of people here, it was fantastic. Day two, we switched to a cabin to see how it was and have a place for the dog while we went kayaking, we had no problem switching over and the cabin is actually really nice, for a simple campground can be expected. No mice droppings, ac works, very clean and not expensive. This place is very quiet and was perfect for the weekend escape we needed!"

"Unsanitary cabin with mice droppings everywhere. Pool was not clean. Playground equipment not very clean. Could not sleep in cabin. Spent night in our vehicle. We were the only people at this campground. Area was quiet. We were booked for two nights and left after the first night. We did get a refund for one night."

"The camp ground is a peaceful quite place, and the guy running it is polite and courteous. The place is a little run down, but for the price was decent. We needed a place to sleep when we weren't fishing, and it filled the bill. There's a boat ramp for smaller boats (we had no trouble launching a 20ft pontoon) and good place to tie up the boat. Its a rustic place for people looking to spend time on the water, don't go here looking for the Ritz. It's 15 min from Wal-Mart and closer to local vendors. Only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars is the stove in our lodge didn't work, but we were given a discount."
