"I recently visited this location on 12/22 around 2pm and had a very uncomfortable experience. For background , I am a pretty consistent Ulta customer, and I also hold an Ulta credit card. I visited this location for my last minute Christmas shopping and was met with what I assume to be a manager (it seemed she was the only employee who didn’t have on a uniform) who appeared to be watching as I shopped. She later came to me as I was looking at nail products and said she’s been “looking for me” so she could give me a basket for my items. I only had 2 items in my hand and told her I didn’t need the basket because I’d only be getting one more thing and she responded by gesturing the basket toward me and saying “It doesn’t matter”. I took the basket to avoid confrontation but I then looked around the store and noticed I was the only customer that she’d given a basket (there were many customers who had many more things in their hands and she didn’t approach any of them with a basket). I hate to assume that she was being prejudice by thinking I was going to steal because of my race but that is the only thing I can attribute to this behavior as I didn’t see any other African American shoppers. If I didn’t need to get last minute items for Christmas , I wouldn’t have bought anything from this store. I felt very disrespected and uncomfortable after this encounter. I probably would’ve considered buying more but I wanted to get out of the store b/c I didn’t feel comfortable being there any longer. Unfortunately I will not returning to this location and will be very skeptical visiting any other Ulta location b/c this experience was very disheartening and makes me question the Ulta culture. FYI: I unfortunately didn’t get her name as I was uncomfortable and I wanted to leave as soon as I purchased my items. However, she appeared to be a manager who had glasses & mid shoulder length brown hair)."

"I came to this Ulta today December 23 looking for a specific curl brand. I asked a woman standing by the salon with long, highlighted/balayaged hair and red lipstick (didn’t get her name unfortunately though she didn’t actually seem interested in helping me) and she seemed more interested in cutting me off to tell me “oh I KNOW all the curl brands” yet couldn’t offer a similar product when I showed her what I was looking for. I’m so tired of the women in these stores trying to intimidate other women instead of helping them. I am a former long time retail employee and a licensed cosmetologist and I have worked for a different Ulta in the salon, and behavior like that was never tolerated at that store. I always did my best to assist those with questions instead of dismissing them with a “sorry girl!” like she did to me. Why she had to act better than me as opposed to better at her job is beyond me. It’s so unfortunate that she dislikes her customers so much, but I would expect better from someone who may be a manager judging by how she sent someone on break. This is my first and last time at this location."

"This store deserves a ZERO!! I went into this store to purchase a specific fragrance item. When I walked in all of the sales associates were behind the registers and at least two were just talking. When I got back to the fragrance section, there was no one there. When an associate came up she helped someone else. She turned and said she would be back, she had to take the items she retrieved to the register. So I waited - 10 minutes later she did not come back. I walked up to the front and asked for help from two associates who walked right by me in the fragrance section and went up front and started talking. I asked for help, the associate rolled her eyes and said what do you want. I told her what I wanted. She got it from the case then turned to ask other people if she could help them. Really!!! I stood and waited for her. When she was done and walked up to me I said really I am ready to check out. She said well you would have to wait anyway. I said you have got to be kidding. I have already had to wait. I said give me a break. I then stood in line, I thought about it, and decided I could spend my money somewhere else. Horrible customer service. I will not go back to this store!! Just lost a customer!"

"This review goes out to the best store associate/manager I have ever met! Sophie (I hope I have spelled your name correctly) thank you for making my shopping experience at Ulta the best one yet! I had placed an online store pick up order to which I received a follow up email informing me my order was cancelled I called the store hoping they could order the product for me to the store to avoid paying shipping for just one item My day was blessed when Sophie answered my call. Not only did they make the effort to go physically and check if they had the product in store but also put one on hold for me so my partner could pick it up hassle free. They also honored my online coupon and included the most kindest gesture. Thank you and I so appreciate you doing that Sophie When in Ulta as for you know who!"
