"Absolutely fantastic food and atmosphere. Pumpkin dish was beyond good. Could have eaten a pound of that. Had to save room for the lamb kabob. Will definitely be back!"

"***Food is good but they are less knowledgeable about their food ingredients(which contains allergens or not)they use*** Today, we went to dine-in to the restaurant around 1:30pm, a family of 4 and one of us has severe food allergies(peanut and egg). The person(female) who took our order, let us know that pretty much all the kebobs has eggs and the gyro platter is safe to eat. We ordered the family platter with extra Chapli 3 kebob, 1 gyro platter for the person who is allergic to egg and peanut(because that's the only safe option! We also ordered 3 mango shakes and a yogurt drink. After the first byte on gyro platter, the person had allergic reactions and had to spend most of the time in the restroom. We wanted to talk to the manager and the manager(a bald male with a goatee) came to the table and confirmed that they do not use any eggs or peanuts for any of their dishes only except for their breads(no apologies for the inconvenience). We did not argue with anything and let it slide left the restaurant later on. In my opinion, the food is great if you don't have food allergies but they are either less knowledgeable about the ingredients they used to make their foods or they tried to cover up the situation with straigh up lies! We were provided 2 different types of info regarding the food allergens which is not right or fair to the customers. The person who takes the orders needs to know the exact information about the food allergens as well as the manager."

"Maiwand Kabob was a regular dinner spot when I lived in the area, and we still like to go there on occasion. If you can get there early enough for the daily specials- at around $12 those are always a great choice. More recently I’ve been a fan of the vegetable platter. The platter is about $15, with a lot of variety that includes eggplant, chickpea, spinach, potato, and pumpkin, with a side of naan! What appreciate about this dish is each vegetable is flavorful and texturally unique so I don’t feel like I’m eating a plate of vegetable mush, as a vegetarian afterthought. My favorite is the pumpkin with the drizzle of yogurt sauce - Yum! An added bonus is that the portion size is large enough for two servings."

"yes, I have the ability to prepare a fabulous meal. Why cook ? another fantastic suggestion, always after a long work day, my choice restaurant was Maiwand Kabob. memory failed me, a cheerful and patient cashier wait staff assisted with my choice, Lamb Kabob seasoned rice, delicious spinach, sauce and amazingly tender lamb. with a heavy large portion, I was delighted I had lunch next day. many menu choices, I am circling next meals for future visits"
