"I'll keep it brief as it was a little while ago and I've found a stylist I like now. But, I honestly felt that my stylist at Maude just did not listen to want I wanted for my hair and/or was just a bit too lazy to do it. I originally came in to tone down the blonde in my hair AND to get the roots touched up/lighten to match a light brown but on the first trip was only had gotten the blonde toned down still stuck with very dark roots. They were nice when I reached out to get it fixed but unfortunately once again I left with my natural roots (which is nearly black) but now with some blonde highlights for some reason. Now, I do have a lot of hair so I can partly understand why a stylist may try to avoid doing any long processes since it can take some time with my hair. But I honestly prefer for a stylist to openly communicate that with me, rather than ignore my requests/just do whatever to my hair then charge 300+ for it."

"I paid over $100 (not including tip) for the worst hair cut of my life. All I wanted was a simple trim with layers, and I ended up with hair much shorter than I wanted and choppy uneven layers. I could not believe they let me walk out of the salon with my hair looking the way it did. I immediately made an appointment with Bubbles the next day to get it fixed, and they did a much better job for half the price."

"I feel bad leaving a not so great review since I’ve heard good things about Maude, but I’m not thrilled with my experience and haircut. First of all, my stylist seemed distracted from the very beginning which I didn’t really appreciate. If I’m coming and paying for your time, I expect your full attention. I came here for the first time yesterday looking to get a trim - I said take as little as possible off, as I’m trying to grow my hair out. My stylist suggested evening it out, as the back was an inch or so longer than the front due to a not so great haircut a few months ago at a different salon. I agreed with this and was fine with it. But when she cut it, it felt like much more than I thought she was going to do. My hair was originally to just about my collarbone, and now it’s to my jaw. I didn’t say anything at the time, because at that point there’s not much that can be done once it’s cut. But it seemed like more than I thought it was going to be. After washing and styling it today, it feels like a LOT more than I initially thought. My hair is shorter than it’s ever been. I know it’ll grow, but I felt like I wasn’t really listened to and now I’ll have to live with this cut for the next few months. I’d like to give Maude another chance, and I’ll see how I like my haircut as it grows out, but I’m very disappointed overall."

"Gabi did a wonderful job on my haircut today. I came in with a tangled mess and asked for a "Ramona flowers" style, and she certainly delivered! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff friendly, easy location. I certainly recommend Maude, especially if you like fun hairstyles."
