"Beautiful area, Lots of people walking the trails on a Sunday. Lots of bank and kayak fisherman. Was not successful catching a fish from the pier but it was a nice area."
"Lovely place to visit as a practical matter though not that great of a fishing spot most of the shoreline is unusable especially for fly fishing. The only reliable place to open water is the nice large dock Pavilion thing perhaps with different gear or live bait it is a decent place to fish but I did not see a lot of success or hits from other fishermen either. Of course may have been the wrong time and it is great when I am in the car leaving."
"Fun lake to fish. You have to go to the north tract station and get a parking pass before you can go, but the guy there when I went was very nice and helpful. He told me about the other lakes in the refuge and what types of fish can be caught in each."
"Nice place to take a walk/run around the lake. Lots of bugs/mosquitos, so bring bug spray. Lots of fishing spots, also. Running around the lake is just over 2 miles long, but you can make it longer by running around Redington lake, too. Either way, it’s a nice little local spot."
