"Pond remained lost but we had a wonderful time looking for it! This is my favorite trail in gunpowder state park. You walk along the beautiful river to an overlook where the trail loops back. There are also lots of places to go swimming in the summer"
"Unfortunately, 25 years ago a neighbor blocked the water flow to the pond to create their own pond. Then about 5 years ago another neighbor blocked the neighborhood access to the state park. All selfish and petty acts if you ask me. If you enter through the state park and follow the trail to the left when you arrive at pot rocks you can still see the area. It is always a few self centered people that ruin things for the rest."

"You can tell where the pond was. I'm not sure when it was drained but there was a pond there in the mid 90s. The spot that is eroded where the stream comes out on the south ish side is where there was once a beaver dam. I'm guessing when the nearby property was sold someone knocked out the beaver dam. There used to be a ton of smaller sized largemouth bass and bluegill in there. It was fun fishing there in the 90s since nobody really knew about it so nobody fished it and you could catch a largemouth every few casts."
"Nice walking trail to get here but it seems that the pond is in fact lost. May have been water here at one point but it looks like it's been overgrown for some time."
