Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pittsburgh Airport, an IHG Hotel

"Check in was very easy but directions to room was not given and there is more than one elevator and a bit of a maze . The rooms are not very clean. There is a strong weed odor coming from the stairwell next to the room which caused for noise throughout the night. Well located to good and the airport."

"My wife and I checked in for one night just so we were closer to the airport for an early flight, it does have a free shuttle service which was a 15 minute ride to the airport. The first room we got after we checked in wasn't cleaned yet and smelled of smoke. The second room we got was fine but the only complaint that the tub was clogged and didn't drain when I turned the shower on. Overall the hotel is severely outdated and needs renovated. For one night it was fine but nothing more than that personally. Staff was friendly at the front desk and helped with those couple issues we had."

"The hotel is old and sucks. It needs a major remodel. Everywhere you go is an unpleasant smell. One of the employees looks like he’s a heavy drug user and has an attitude. He smarted off to me and wouldn’t even look me in the face when he did it. I ordered room service. I left a decent tip. Why do we order room service? Because we don’t won’t to get dressed and go get the food ourselves. I had worked a long day and was exhausted. I was waiting on my delivery but it never came. I got a call from the front desk but they didn’t answer when I called back. Usually you don’t answer a call when you’re with a customer UNLESS it’s an existing customer. Then you have to answer it. I went down and saw my food sitting on the counter. My food was getting cold and my drink barely had any ice left in it. I told him that the food was mine and said that I didn’t know why the delivery driver didn’t bring it to my door. The employee said in a smart voice that they’re not allowed. I said really? He said that it’s a safety issue. Not once looking at me while he said it. If that is the new policy then screw this company. If that’s the policy then the front desk should deliver my food to my door. I’m not one of those people who only leaves bad reviews. I go out of my way to let managers know how awesome their employee is at their job. But this needed to be said. Find another hotel. Don’t support businesses like this. You are their guest and should be treated as such."

"Firstly I want to start off by saying the man working the front desk is FANTASTIC! Super friendly, and personable! But… the rooms on the other hand… most definitely not worth the price. We found a bug (not sure what kind - photo attached), there were lots of stains on the walls and bedding, the chair inside the room was falling apart. It wasn’t very clean. I was only visiting for 2 nights for a concert. The location is superb. Super close to gas stations, Target, Starbucks, etc. but I definitely don’t think it was worth the $340 CAD ($225 USD) I paid…"

"Been visiting Pittsburgh each summer for years for baseball trips and this was the best hotel experience we've had. Value was phenomenal compared to almost any other hotel within 15 miles of downtown. Check-in quick and easy, rooms clean. Only minor complaint was the water pressure in the shower, but for a 3 night stay, not a big deal. Despite the hotel being on the older side as other reviews have mentioned, staff does good job with upkeep - pool was clean and refreshing. Breakfast area spacious and constantly being restocked. Many roads on the outskirts of Pittsburgh can be confusing (as experienced at other hotels) but the in/out of this one is easy and conveniently located near Robinson Mall and numerous restaurants. Drive into downtown takes 15-20 minutes (leave time for traffic) but access to South Shore is pretty easy rest of city can be easily accessed via Uber or train if you don't like city driving (like me). Would definitely stay again."
