"This was my third visit to Perso. It was a Tuesday night and there only 2 other tables occupied. Our service was fabulous! My only complaint was the Chefs choice dessert with the meal. I know Perso has wonderful desserts. This evening, however, I received a cookie and a squirt of whipped cream. The cookie was boring, honestly. I was just surprised given the other options on the menu."

"My experience at Perso was a reluctant aquiescence to my wife's wishes to try their 3 course prix fixe and I am very glad we did because we thoroughly enjoyed it. The starters we went with were the blackened carrots and the crostino di tonno. The carrots were pleasantly sweet, baked to perfection and accompanied with greek yogurt and what the menu called toasted lentils which all together created a sharp first bite of flavor which blended well in the mouth. I also got to try my partners crostino which was basically a pizza dough type bread topped with savory tuna, pickled celery, stracciatella, and calabrian chilies which added a pleasant heat to the bread. Our entree picks were the braised beef cheeks and the cast iron baked pasta. The pasta was excellently baked and presented piping hot still in the iron. I did burn my tongue a bit on the first bites but that did not slow me down much as I devoured every noodle before my poor wife could try any. Luckily she was not too cross with me and let me try her beef cheeks. I only got a single bite so I can't comment descriptively, but the meat was tasty and chewy. For dessert we both got the chefs pick which turned out to be a couple deliciously chewy cookies prepared with m&ms, chocolate chips, and peanut butter. I am somewhat a baker myself and can tell these cookies were prepared carefully and with precision to ensure each bite is just as soft and melty as those favorite cookies your grandma used to make. We will definitely be back to try out another course. Thank you so much for the lovely meal."

"Excellent food! Excellent service! Excellent atmosphere! What can I say? Our server's name was Abby, I believe, and nothing could've been better. We were brought fresh plates and silverware each time, and the kitchen--which is open--adds some flair to the place. We ordered the roasted octopus which also came with beef tongue, both of which were tender (the flavor of this dish was quite unique, I'd say), the roasted broccoli (again, cooked perfectly--not overtly burnt, but roasted to the point of acquiring that savory flavor) which is more than enough for 2-3 people, and the made-in-house ricotta (with bread). Everyone must get the ricotta--absolute must. This was our first round, haha. There seemed also to be a lot of vegetable plates that folks can share. For the entree, my wife and I shared the clams pizza, wherein the sauce is actually a clam chowder. Wow, this was tasty. You have the creaminess and savoriness of the clam chowder sauce, with tons of garlic, leeks, and mozarella. We actually wanted to try more food, so we strategized: we ate half the pizza, saved the rest for later, z ordered two soft baked eggs. Duck prosciutto was delicious. I can't recall ever seeing duck prosciutto. Come try it! The soft baked egg was cooked perfectly--the consistency of it was flawless, creamy/silky smooth, and very succulent (and I know that achieving that is not easy). One of the servers told us that the chef was so happy that we ordered another dish after our main entree, haha. Anyway, I highly recommend Perso. This is one of our favorite places in Louisville thus far."

"My partner and I really enjoyed this restaurant! I tried the Smoked Lavender Manhattan…the aroma of it was just lovely! All of our food was delicious and perfectly balanced. Our favorite was the house made Ricotta topped with sun-dried tomatoes, pine nut, pickled celery, and raisins, served with a fresh bread boule. Their pricing is very reasonable for such special, fresh dishes. Our server was friendly and attentive."
