"The National Park Service is apparently planning to remove the William Penn statue and the monument to the Slate House, so see them now while you can!"

"We enjoyed exploring this open air museum and plaza with our pup. Welcome Park celebrates the contributions of William Penn. He lived at this site from 1699-1701. It's where he wrote PA's Charter of Privileges, which was a model for the U.S. Constitution and other countries. There are some benches and plantings. There's a marker for Penn's home, the Slate Roof House. It's close to other Old City landmarks, the First Bank and Carpenter's Hall."

"Though its storied white marble walkways could use a little upkeep and maintenance, if one were to only invoke, in a clear and crisp tone, the Blessing of Penn they would be instantly transported to the Philadelphia International Airport or whisked even as far northward as Neshaminy Falls and Fortuna."

"This is a very important place in history. Especially the State roof house. So the miniature is on display. There is a statue in the center. We recommend the City Tavern restaurant right next door."
