"Built in 1925. A very cool looking lift bridge that is often covered in lights. The Ashtabula lift bridge carries Ohio State Route 531 across the Ashtabula River in the harbor of Ashtabula. I will get better photos the next time I'm there."

"This historic drawbridge operates every half hour. It’s a fun experience to watch it raise for the different boats to cross through the river. Plan your time accordingly because it’s usually about 5-7 minutes of stopped traffic each time it operates. It’s unique in that it doesn’t separate in the middle, but the entire bridge lifts from one end. Definitely fun to see!"
"I could sit and watch this bridge all day long. The nearby park, museum and restaurants make this the perfect visit and great day trip!"
