"Steer clear of Dulles Life Smiles. As newcomers to the area, my family and I decided to schedule a routine cleaning visit. We diligently completed all the required new patient paperwork and patiently awaited our appointment, which was about three weeks away. Throughout this period, we received the standard appointment reminder texts and a voice message, all seemingly routine. However, upon arriving for the scheduled cleaning visit, we were unexpectedly informed that we would be charged in advance for both the appointment and x-rays. The reason provided was the office's inability to find the time to contact my insurance company. This crucial piece of information was neither communicated beforehand nor mentioned in the voice message. The lack of transparency left me puzzled and frustrated. Contacting one's insurance company typically doesn't require an extended timeframe, as I have experienced in the past. Given that I've had dental appointments twice a year throughout my entire life, this was an unprecedented situation for me. While it's conceivable that the dentist is excellent, the questionable communication and handling of the administrative process have left an unfavorable first impression. Whether due to unforeseen circumstances or a lapse in communication protocol, first impressions matter, especially in healthcare services. In light of this experience, my family has decided to seek dental care elsewhere, prioritizing a provider with clear communication practices and a more streamlined administrative process. In update to the business reply, the insurance card details were furnished during the call when scheduling the cleaning appointments three weeks ago. This included the specific number for dental providers to liaise with the insurance company. If they fail to sufficiently prepare for a new patient's appointment, what other areas might they compromise or neglect in their treatment of patients? Beware."

"Dulles Life Smiles folks are great! I had a meeting unexpected moved up 30 minutes which cut getting to the meeting really tight. I asked if they could get me in and out in the window for my appointment. No problem, finished the cleaning checkup with time to spare. Really appreciate they were willing to work with me."

"This was my initial visit to Dulles Life Smiles and I will say it’s the best dental appointment I’ve had in my 57 years. I was able to share with Dr. Gino my horrible experience with a dental appointment 10 years ago in Richmond VA and why I’ve since avoided going to the dentist. This one visit alone has changed my entire outlook on going to the dentist. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. During my initial visit Dr. Gino reviewed my X-rays and gave a thorough education about future treatment. In addition, I found the visual tour of the mouth very helpful as he explained step by step, with real time photos and X-ray images where I was with my dental health and what his initial treatment plan would be. I left my first appointment feeling very informed and that Dulles Life Smiles cared about me not only as a patient, but as a person. I felt immediately connected to the treatment team. I look forward to my second visit. I highly recommend them!"
