Holiday Inn Express & Suites Allentown West, an IHG Hotel

"The entire stay was wonderful, from the front desk staff to the house keeping staff they were all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spotless, the pool was always warm and breakfast was superb."

"Edit: CAUTIOUS!!!!! I wrote this review before we had checked out. No one told me that you had to insert your card before leaving the room to lock it. Imagine my surprise when my oldest son goes running down the hall and opens the door that I thought was locked. Your valuables could easily be stolen, especially if the staff doesn't tell you that that's how the locks worked. I had to revise my review from 3 stars to 2 stars because of this. Positives: staff us super friendly, helpful, and check in was so fast! It's also nicely updated but ONLY in the lobby. Everywhere else it's..... outdated. Cons: rooms were clean enough but not in a positive way. We were on the first floor, facing the busy road and it was very difficult to sleep all night. Especially at 5 am, when people are heading to work. So if you aren't used to the sounds of car driving by at night, don't expect to sleep. Breakfast wasn't honestly the best. I've had such amazing breakfasts at Holiday Inns but this one was definitely lacking. It was very clean but the choices weren't great. For the price, it wasn't a horrible stay, but we won't be staying here again. And once again, thank you to the wonderful staff."

"The hotel itself is pretty cheap. The bed was comfortable but that's the only positive. It's very rundown with a cheap makeover and didn't fix any of the broken things. All but one of the towels had long dark hairs in them, and one of the beds had stains all over the sheets. The location is on a very busy road right in front of a street light, all night long you hear semi trucks jake breaking down the hill, and street racer cars revving up at the light to race. It was not quiet by any means. I'd go out of my way to not stay here again."

"First time staying at a Holiday Inn Express in years and I was quite shocked - the room was rundown and unclean. Wifi and water pressure were good. The rest, not so… Booked last minute as other hotels were full in the area. Styrofoam plates and plastic forks at breakfast. The cleaning crew stuffed their carts and themselves with me in the elevator. Only one key card worked. And boxelder bugs were in the room around window… If this is the only option - it’s fine for a night stay. Otherwise, recommend shopping around."
