"Really neat place with a lot to see and a lot of history. Walking trail is short and pretty. Apparently there is a cemetery back in the trees that is sometimes visible but is currently on private property."

"The trails were well-maintained. I appreciate the historic information shared along the trail as well. It did a very good job of ensuring the enslaved who worked at Coactin Furnace are remembered."

"Time to relax and calm, tried to be quiet and see the beauty of the world in a little small place but with a great energy. Take a look into the website to get tickets to visit the museum."

"A charming, historic, if not poignant, no-cost stop just off of U.S. Hwy 15. The furnace ruins and mounds of slag tell of a dangerous industry in a bygone era of sweat and slavery. Evidence of languish and luxury sit next to one another, and a walking trail with signage allows for exploration of the historical enterprise. Parking was ample as the site is not that busy, and there's plenty of room to roam around. I don't remember a restroom, but the site is good for either an in-depth examination or a quick look."
