Belmont Park

"Watched the 1981 documentary "Racetrack" last night. A real "fly on the wall" view into the world of Belmont Park, racing, and horses. It brought me here and actually made me want to visit the place. If it weren't such a hassle to get there I'd go and spend an afternoon."

"Although the track is undergoing upgrades and renovations, The Park at Belmont is a treat. Only open until the end of February, there are 2 skating rinks for pond hockey and public skating, respectively. There are carnival games and you can grab a beer or bring your own. 1 sixpack per person. There are also igloos to rent. There is a charge to skate and to rent skates if you need them. There is no charge to enter the park."

"Went to watch the Disney on Ice for the second time since the first one was at Prudential Center in New Jersey about 2 years ago. The kids loved it so when they announce it’s close by at UBS center, we were excited. The seatings were really bad. We got front row seats for about $98 but they kept a huge had in the middle and it seemed like we were far away on nosebleeds. We could see the characters expression when we got $79 tickets at prudential center but this one was really bad. I’m glad the kids didn’t notice much but not worth the price. Also, the show seemed rushed. I’d rather drive longer and watch at prudential."

"An incredible statue. Unfortunately racing was cancelled due to Canadian wild fires, but we were able to walk around and buy souvenirs. Even better when there is racing going on!"
