"I do not normally post negative reviews but I don't want anyone to go through what we did. The staff at the Washington location is very nice and helpful however the service staff is less than nice. We've used Valley for several years to open and close our inground pool and to purchase chemicals & equipment. However I think they've taken on too much business and cannot keep up. Our inground pool was closed by Valley in Fall of 2022 but, when opened by Valley in Spring of 2023, a significant part was missing -- salt cell for our salt water pool. Cost was over $1400 to replace by Valley. Crazy! My husband ordered the part elsewhere for half the price and we had to wait almost two weeks for the tech to return to install. Meanwhile, they'd already opened our pool so it sat without a filter running for two plus weeks. Yes, it turned green with algae before they returned to install the salt cell. Julie in scheduling was less than cordial and downright rude when we attempted to get someone out sooner since the pool turned green. However, the tech did not complete installation correctly which led to us having to have the entire filter replumbed. More money! If you've read this far, know that I cannot make this up. Totally disappointing to be treated this way especially since we purchased a $1100 robot cleaner and $3200 custom pool cover the season before. Please don't waste your time to learn the hard way. "Manager and salesman terrific! Manager so in tune with us. Bought a pool heater from him a few months back. He remembered us. Lots of fun, too! Great sense of humor. Salesman was sooo helpful and answered questions we had concerning a solar cover we will buy next season."

"I purchased a spa from Valley Pool but it sprung a leak. When they do a service call, even under warranty, you have to pay for the technician to come. I had to pay twice for a service call for the same problem. PROBLEM is… still not fixed yet! So I’m going to have to pay again! This doesn’t seem right! How many times am I going to have to pay for the same problem? Buyer Beware!"

"I stopped here to purchase walk down steps for my pool. They were out of stock, but if I purchased them that day, they would have them on a shipment the next day from a warehouse. I did just that, and when I went to pick up my order, they gave my steps away to someone else. To get steps for the weekend, I had to pay a little more $$. The manager did come down on price for the more expensive steps, which was helpful. To the management, don't give someone's purchased items away to make a sale with another potential customer. The prices are decent here, and they do have sales ongoing through the season, and the operating hours are convenient."
