"So I have been taking my oldest son here since 2022, he has sever overcrowding and an overbite. At first everything was great, then as of today, I think I'll be looking for another office to take him to. They wanted me to fill out a non compliance form because his brackets broke, I have not been able to take him recently because I work so much and they are not open on weekends. They have no consideration for real world issues like work and scheduling. I showed up 20 minutes early for them to take him in late, mind you I have to use PTO for this appointment and I am on a tight schedule as it is. Now they want him to come in once every three weeks, which I don't have the time for. Then they want me to sign some B's form because his brackets fall out once in a while. Like hello he hasn't been here since April because I have not had the time to take him. I have four kids a full time job and everything else I have to deal with in life, make things a bit easier for your patients and have some more compassion instead of shrugging off the concerns of the parents of your patients. Your bedside manner is deplorable, you walk around and act like you really don't care about your patients, you really don't care you are in it for the money, and that is a dosgusting reason to be in any part of medicine"
"I want to first start off by saying, we have been going to SPARKS since May of 2016. We started with our daughter, who was 12 at that time. We have since moved on to our grandson who is 14. When we began going to SPARKS, the atmosphere and staff was every bit of AMAZING!! The facility was clean and well kept and the staff was super nice! Fast forward to 2023. We had an appointment with our grandson on 6/27/2023 in the morning. To my surprise the "spark" when you arrive has diminished. It's not as tidy and shiny as once was. When our grandson was called to the back for treatment, his named was mispronounced. Understandably, it happens. When that usually happens, you correct the person. right? My daughter did just that in a friendly kind of jokingly way. The person, who I later found out whos name is Emily, responds with an "Ok." My grandson goes on to sit in the chair for treatment and Emily starts off by saying "Oh my God! Why is this bracket this way, and that bracket that way?!" My daughters response was " We haven't been here in a while because we had a missed appointment." Emily says matter-of-factly, "No you haven't, I'm looking right here." My daughter responds by saying, " I apologize, I meant to say I had to reschedule (him) because he was sick, so it has been a while. That may be the reason why (his) brackets are jacked up, and plus he's 14." After that, there wasn't a response. Emily continued in an aggressive behavior with her movements. Slamming things, moving things in an aggressive manor. It made my grandson and my daughter uncomfortable. Uncomfortable to where my daughter messaged me and ask if I could come in and sit in her place. I did just that. When I arrived, Emily scowled at me as I sat down and my daughter left from the treatment room. I normally would have responded to that, but I opted not to. Emily's beside manor and professionalism is VOID. If My grandson wasn't so far into treatment, I'd have him removed. I notice in the reviews, the responses from SPARKS when people are unhappy, there is an excuse for everything. There isn't an excuse that can be given for the behavior and treatment of my family. Once my grandson is done, so are we."
"I made an appointment for my 9 year old who was complaining of pain due to his mouth piece upon arriving to facility for scheduled appointment in the reading office for 1120. arrived at 1115 and checked in and waited until 1140 with no response to, "come in". Knocked on door and was told the building was closed today. Was able to contact lead in office that I know who usually works in reading office and found out they were not in reading office and that I was scheduled in wrong facility (camphill) lead attempted to have him seen but worker in reading office was unable to see him and was being rushed for "lunch" after I had just left after waiting 30 mins. this huge inconvenience and inconsiderate after having to leave work and getting him out of school to then not be seen either way. I usually have great service. and understand things can happen but the tone of the reading office worker felt rushed and rude."
"We are on our third child getting braces here and the team is mostly amazing. My bone to pick is, masks. I pay out of pocket 5-7k per child for braces. If you want us to wear masks during a time where masks are now optional otherwise in schools and most other businesses. For how much we pay for braces and services if you can’t provide a disposable mask as a courtesy to your patients, that’s very unreasonable. Every time we come in and ask for a disposable mask (because my family no longer has or wears masks per lifted mandates) the front desk associates have something smart to say like “this is a one time courtesy” with frustration. One time the associate at the front desk tried to say she could only offer my son a mask. I offered her a dollar for a mask and let her know if they can’t provide us a mask I can’t continue to pay thousands of dollars for services. We are paying customers, be prepared to accommodate your paying customers. Honestly I’ve seen customers come in with their own masks that were “disposable” but clearly being reused, filthy with food stains, animal hair, a customer flipped hers to the wrong side because the other side had chocolate on it. One dropped theirs on the ground stepped on it and put it on as she walked in the door. You’re safer and cleaner providing a new sterile disposable mask to your customers entering. Make the policy purposeful all the way."
"Professionalism embellishes Sparks! Really nice and modern practice. You will not be bored at the waiting room with ample space, TVs, complimentary water and nice and knowledgeable staff. They really break every step of the way down to you. Parking available!"
