"We went to see Matilda, our first performance directed/produced by ACT held at Patterson Hill Middle/High School. We loved it! Highly entertaining, fun evening, great young budding talents. The actress portraying Miss Trunchbull was phenomenal. The entire cast and crew did an outstanding job! Well done!"

"My family and I have done multiple plays with this company and we absolutely love it. It’s always a great group of kids who all love and respect each other. The director is very passionate and really has helped increase my children’s confidence - which I am so grateful for. It really feels like a family. Can’t wait for the next play."

"My 12 yo daughter had been with ACT since she was 6 and has done a bunch of performances with ACT. I have loved watching her grow as a performer and person! The director pushes kids but makes sure every kid has a role and knows that every role is important! Things may seem a bit chaotic at times, but thats the nature of having 30 drama kids in one place! DRAMA ENSUES!!! We have done other drama groups (during pandemic) but ACT is home. It might not be for everyone, but thats ok, thats what life is about... finding the places and people that are right for you!"

"Abingdon community theater has been a home for me since I was 5. Everyone here has been there for me through the toughest parts of my life. This place is not just a theater it is a home. Open to everyone who enters. Mrs. Marilda has a heart like no other. She cares for these kids and always has their best interest at heart. She is a hero through and through and everyday I inspire to be like her. When coming to this theater I have learned how to act, sing and dance like no one is in the room. But I have learned compassion and kindness as well."

"This is the worst and most hurtful theater troop. Do not send your kid here unless you want them to be yelled at and told that they have a bad singing voice and cannot dance etc. Marilda is very unprofessional with parents and children. She also does not keep parents informed and argues with children about money. I would give this no stars if I could."
