"Unfortunate experience. A waste of 888 dollars. Phil, a former radio personality, seems nice, and will tell you it’s a good price but he’s actually kinda high. I scheduled work, day of, he forgot to order the part. Then there was, I don’t know, another delay. They had car longer than the one day promised. 2.5 days to be exact. They might say I brought the car in late (11am instead of 10), but the part hadn’t even been ordered! Popo is an excellent mechanic but he must have really needed the work because I had an old Subaru and it needed a new clutch. I said, “are you sure” a bunch of times, trying to figure if it was worth the investment. All the while, it’s really written in white on black and very large letters on the engine, when my timing belt was last changed, making it clear I was about 25000 miles over due. I knew that. Popo knew that. “Sure”, he says, “it will last you another couple years”. I also talked to Phil about it. “Oh yeah”, he says, “def get it done”. My heart wanted to believe it and so, they did the work. Three weeks later, the timing belt broke, the engine was compromised, the car was junked. Thanks guys! Nice doing business with you! NOT."
