"My first time in Chincoteague and it couldn't have been more perfect! The room had amazing old furniture that made it feel like home. The AC worked great and the room was clean. Office staff was friendly and knowledgeable about things to see and do. It's close to everything! Breakfast next door was delicious! Sunrise and sunset were spectacular! ❤ I have already booked my stay for next year!!"

"When I was looking to stay on Chicoteague, this place came up as one of the cheapest places. So my expectations were not high. Miraculously, I was given a room (#124) that was separate from the rest of the motel, on the backside of the building that the office is located in. It has a separate entrance and driveway, so this review is based on my experience with that. Yes it was dated, things were slightly worn and cracked with use. But everything was clean and smelled good. It is a non-smoking room. It is conveniently located on the first block on the main drag as you came off the bridge onto the island, the same road which goes to the beach. It is also only a couple blocks from the historic shopping area. It is right next to an awesome coffee shop, and when you come out of your day, you smell the robust scent of coffee. The motel also gives you vouchers for a free coffee/Danish for each night you stay. It is very quiet because of the location of the room, and the fact that it is a small town. I'm not sure if this will hold true in-season, as I stayed there in October. It is one big room, with an offset closet (metal clothing bar, iron/ironing board) and bathroom (toilet, sink/vanity, lighted mirror, shower stall, hair dryer). Air conditioner worked fine. There is a desk with 2 chairs, but no ample light to read or write. There is a mini-fridge and microwave. There is a jacuzzi surrounded by mirrored panels (which I was too unsophisticated to figure out how to fire-up). There is TV cabinet with storage drawers, housing a nice-sized flat screen TV which has a little pullout platform to extend it out and pivot it towards the bed. There are endtables with drawers, topped with lamps, on both sides of the king-sized bed, which features a pretty firm mattress. So you have ample storage for all you stuff and toiletries if you're there long enough to unpack. I've been staying in motels since the early 1990s, and honestly, this is the best experience I've ever had with a room, also considering convenience and logistics. I can't comment on the other part of the motel, but I'm pretty sure the experience over there is a wee bit different."

"My husband and I booked the king suite with jacuzzi tub for our anniversary. The room did not look like the pictures online. It was sooooo dirty. The tub leaked, mold around the walls, toothpaste spots on the mirror, cracks in walls, hair, dirt and glitter in the tub. We were not there long at all. Went to office to cancel reservation, lady says we can't. Would not refund us anything. Not even one night. She would not call the owner, would not give us his number. We asked if we could leave ours for him to call and said no. He will not call you. The worst experience ever!!! You are better off to sleep in your car!!!"
