Meadowbrook Local Park is a popular tourist attraction located at 7901 Meadowbrook Lane in Chevy Chase, Maryland, United States. The park is currently undergoing an electrical upgrade project, which has temporarily suspended nighttime play on the tennis and basketball courts until May 20, 2024. The park sits on 16.6 acres of land and offers a variety of amenities including a Park Activity Building, picnic area, playground, softball and baseball fields, tennis courts, football/soccer fields, and indoor bathroom facilities. Visitors can also rent the Park Activity Building for events such as birthday parties, showers, and meetings. Reservations can be made by calling the Permit Office at (301) 495-2525. The park is wheelchair accessible and is located near the Meadowbrook Riding Stables. Meadowbrook Local Park is a great place for outdoor activities and events, providing a beautiful and convenient location for residents and visitors alike.

"Please beware of strangers wandering into your private event to use restrooms!!! We attended a private event at this facility on 1/27/2024, the venue is lovely and our family has previously held events here without any incidents. Unfortunately, this time around, we had to cut the event short because all the guests grew more and more uncomfortable about strangers who were at the park and continuously tried to enter the premises knowing there was a private event going on. It came to the point we had to lock the doors to keep them from coming in, but whenever a person walked out to the park, people would take advantage of the opportunity to sneak in. To make matters worst people acted offended and confrontational when told they would not be let in the building. Needless to say, this was incredibly stressful and annoying having to keep watch over who walked in and out the door. Never again!"
"This is a great playground with lots of different “levels” of play. I have a 2yo and 4yo and they both had different play areas suited to their age. The whole area is fenced in which is so nice and makes is easier to let them both go separate ways without me having to worry too much. There was a bit of trash littering the grounds and the building next to the playgrounds was closed off with caution tape but overall in good shape."

"Part of Rock Creek National Park, there are large athletic fields and one used by dog owners, a terrific children's playground "Candy Cane City" (fenced for toddlers), and public lit tennis courts. Paved walking path around the fields and alongside the stables next door. Many trails into the wooded park. Note that after rains the grounds can be soppy and trails mucky. Small reservable building for social gathering with big indoor room and covered outdoor picnic table area; grills nearby. Parking lots along Beach Drive and Meadowbrook Lane off East West Hwy. Public porta-johns."
