"This was our first visit to Cugino Forno and we ordered the Margerita Pizza. The pizza was delicious, with small chunks of melted buffalo mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil and garlic, not too greasy with a fire roasted crust flavor. Pizzas come in ONE only size and prices range from $18-$24. I feel they are a bit pricey and I skipped getting a drink as a result. The menu selection consists of: Pizza, salad, pastries, gelato, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks. There is a “spice station” where you can fill small plastic cups with sea salt, pepper, oregano or basil to taste. Indoor and outdoor seating is picnic table style with umbrellas available outdoors. Paper towel rolls and forks provided at each table as well as a stack of pre-assembled carry-out boxes near the spice station if you have leftovers. Very family friendly and geared toward self-service. Ordering a ervice was very good and tables were being cleaned continuously. I gave it four stars because other Italian restaurants offer two delicious pizzas for the price of one here."
"Great Pizza, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. This is New York style pizza...thin crust but not crispy so you can fold it. Reasonable prices too. They also have a variety of beer, desserts and gelatto."
"Pizza is so good it changed the entire trajectory of my month. I’m in Frederick for work and wasn’t finding the food to be all that great in my meals so far. I stopped at Cugino Forno and had lunch. Everything changed. Suddenly I don’t miss d coming back to Frederick every week for the rest of 2024. Suddenly I’m in a decent mood. Suddenly I spent only 12 dollars for a huge pizza and bottle of pop. THANK YOU CUGINO"
"Basic decor and minimal but very friendly service - it’s an order at the counter situation. Pizza is perfect. The crust is the best part, but the red sauce is pretty amazing too. I’ve had several different pizzas and have loved them all. Highly recommend!"
"I love some Brick oven pizza!! That’s what you’re going to find here. Extremely authentic Italian pizza! The portions are enormous, the service is inviting, and the food is delicious! Come hungry, leave happy, but don’t forget to leave room for dessert because there is plenty there. I got the mint chocolate chip gelato and they serve it with an amazing wafer! I also love how pretty the outside eating area is!"
