"I was looking for a quality repair shop that was also honest and experienced. And I finally found it in Franklin Auto Repair. Sean answered the phone when I called and was he was straight up from the start about what he thought could be the problem and when he could get to it. He then squeezed it into their busy week to help me out since the car was soon to be driven 1200 miles to North Dakota and needed attention for several issues. They took the car on time and worked on it to diagnose the problems. When Sean called with his report, he offered options and because one of the issues ( a/c not cooling properly) was not evidencing itself in the shop, Sean was clear to say he would not just replace something unless he could clearly identify the root cause first. He was willing to keep the car another day to try and further ID the problem and it really paid off for us. Rather than having to buy a new compressor which another shop would have been happy to sell us, Franklin Auto found the real cause which was that the system had been overcharged with Freon (done by a shop in CA) and that was what was causing the issue we were experiencing. They were able to drain and refill the system and now the a/c working great! George and Sean clearly value their name and reputation (family owned ) more than making the most money they can on each repair job. This is an honest, experienced, reputable shop that you can be confident will take the time necessary to accurately diagnose problems so they can make only those repairs that are necessary and are appropriate to solve the problem.
