"I have found the Catholic Charities programs in NH to be a great asset to those in need, no matter their age or circumstance. They offer assistance in a wide range of interest areas. I am grateful to be able to participate in a grief support group which is based on Catholic principles. Despite having limited resources, they have found offering this program via Zoom a great way to reach people from all over the state who would not otherwise be able to attend because they live in another town than where the program is being offered. Thank you, Catholic Charities for existing despite limited funds, and assisting so many people who are in need."
"Although they will help anyone, and the charities don't proselyte from what I've heard. But they do get most of their funding from the government. The problem with this is that even though they don't preach, their mere existence brings people to the church. Think about it from the clients perspective. They think this church is doing kind things by paying their electic bill or whatever. This makes the church look charitable, it perpertuates an idea that catholics are generally kind and charitable people. That's the difference between catholic chartities and social service organizations like tricounty CAP. Tricounty isn't acting like they are doing a kindness to their clients and everyone knows this money comes from the government."
