"Love that Rutland has a downtown bookstore again after so long. I love to browse, I think they have a great selection for the size of the store, and I always end up with an armload when I go there. Now if they just expanded into the corner space where the art space is, since Castleton...er...VSU is ending Art program. This would improve the ambiance a bit. Phoenix Rutland needs a wee bit more bookstore ambiance."

"I went in hoping to get a couple of books and a gift- I was the only person in the store with two people working- not one of them said anything to me or offered to assist me with finding anything. The selection was rather sparse, as I couldn't find any of the books I was looking for- both fairly popular new releases. I had hoped for a nice experience in an actual bookstore, and to maybe get a few suggestions for future purchases- I guess I will stick to Amazon."
"The staff is always courteous and helpful. If you are a frequent and avid book buyer I highly recommend the book club. The selection of books, stationary, and gifts is excellent. If they don't have a title you are looking for in stock, the ordering process is simple and reliable. Staff are always clear about expected timetable, the likelihood for delays, and communicative about changes. Easily one of my favorite shops in Rutland!"
