"Stayed here last weekend. Service is superior! Staff is fantastic. Carol at reception has been there through it all and is absolutely the sweetest! Their spa is top notch for sure.. pay the extra 20 for a day pass to the men's or women's lounge if you just want a relaxing atmosphere with no kids . The rooms very very nice and spacious.. hot tub with waterfall was better then a massage . Anna at the bar makes a mean espresso martini !"

"Overall loved our stay. Staff at front desk is not really welcoming... Really basic interaction and neutral. Fortunately there was a really friendly individual opening the door at the entrance. Staff at the restaurant was really friendly. We appreciated the view at breakfast. Pretty expensive breakfast but the quality was there. Rooms were spacious and bed was very comfy but there was a little few things that needed update. The paint on the bathroom ceiling was pealing and the calking on the bath was full of mold... Somebody must have dropped water on the TV set because the wood was all rippled. Sound insulation could be a lot better as we could hear pretty much everything happening above us. I would suggest requesting an higher level room. For the price paid I would have expected these little details to be non existant. The biggest take down for us was the service at front desk and the noisy rooms. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay."

"My wife and I are staying at the Top Notch now over New Years Weekend. The property, staff and service is completely substandard. The property is entirely too expensive for what you get. It is noisy with kids running ragged and all over. Room service (breakfast) this morning was a complete disappointment. $67.00 for two stale bagels, fruit bowl, cold coffee (which took 25 minutes) to get the cream and sugar for which they forgot. In addition, they messed up the order and brought a fruit smoothie instead of a fruit parfait. I called to complain and was told the Restaurant Manager would call me which never happened. I am completely let down for the $3000 a three night stay is costing. Don’t waste your money as you will be let down and disappointed. We are having lunch at the Von Trappe Family Lodge, the property is beautiful and the staff is very friendly, and it is a very peaceful atmosphere. Not to mention excellent food and service. I could go on, but what would be the point. All I can say is that I will never make the mistake of staying at Top Notch again!!!!! Buyer beware."

"hands down our favorite stowe hideaway! we love the rooms, nicely appointed, quiet, clean and up to date. the service is always friendly, professional and most accommodating. delicious food, close to all the action north and south within a beautiful and scenic setting. best of all our four legged friend gets to come with us! pampered "us", pampered pooch, what more could you ask for? thank you topnotch for everything, we'll be back!"
