About the Business

The Ballet School of Vermont is a premier institution offering Vermont Ballet Lessons for Beginner to Pre-Professional Levels in a nurturing environment. Located in downtown St. Albans, VT, our beautifully restored building is specifically designed for ballet with two dance studios, a reception desk, parent lobby, changing areas, and NVB Company lounge. Our professional faculty and master guest teachers provide ABT® Certified Ballet Instruction in Classical Ballet Technique, Pointe, Variations, Choreography, Body Conditioning, and Performance. We also offer Summer Ballet Dance Camps & Intensives and a Ballet Theater Program. The school is home to the Northern Vermont Ballet Student Company.

The Ballet School of Vermont offers ballet classes for beginner to advanced pre-professional levels, with a Young Children’s Program starting at 3.5 years old. Our Advanced Ballet Program, in conjunction with Northern Vermont Ballet Company, features guest instructors and classes in Ballet Technique, Pointe, Variations, Body Conditioning, and Alternative Classes. Our multi-class and sibling discounts make it easier for students to dance more and save more.

Our instructors and guest teachers have danced professionally with prestigious companies such as Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal, American Ballet Theater Studio Company, Wonderbound, Ballet Nouveau Colorado, and Miami City Ballet. We are proud to include the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum in our program, providing high-quality artistic training and dancer health education.
