"I've fished with Chuck every year for 15 years now, and still look forward to it, though I'm lucky enough to fish in Argentina, Iceland and the UK so I am not short of top class fishing locations and guides, But Vermont is different, has its own charm, its own challenges and some beautiful wild trout (or stocked ones, something for all abilities and needs). Chuck is the real thing, a guide who seems to know every fish and for sure every stone on the riverbed, and all the relevant hatches. His flies are tied at home and are seriously good, even for the pickiest of fish, and the wild fish of the Battenkill all have Harvard MBAs in flies. Regardless of conditions we always find fish and I even manage to catch a few, and above all we always have fun and a good laugh."

"I have fished with Chuck several times a season for the last decade. Why did I keep coming back? Yes, I catch fish AND more importantly to me I learn how to be a better fly fisher! Before each trip Chuck will ask what I want to work on and then tailor the trip to meet the learning experience. Whether the technic is straight line nymphing, down and across, casting dry flies up stream, casting skills such as double hauling or knot tying; Chuck's instructional manor and full knowledge makes things much easier. Then to practice with him on my left providing any needed correct is worth the guide fee in itself. Thanks Chuck for all you have taught me! see you in April. Bruce Kennedy"
