"Do. Not. Use. They literally charged us $470 to tell us they didn't know what was wrong with our dog. Frustrated, we went home and were able to narrow down her illness to a mouth issue using resources from the internet. Compassion never even looked in her mouth when we brought her in. We got her a same day appointment at VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty in Concord. They brought her in and immediately diagnosed her issue, which was a large cancerous tumor in her throat. They confirmed that not only had Compassion failed at giving her a thorough and appropriate exam, Compassion specifically misinterpreted the results of the blood test they ran, telling us she had a "slightly elevated" reading when in fact that specific reading was more than six times the normal level and a clear indication of cancer. Research Compassion Vet very carefully. They have had more than one report of significant incompetence. Don't risk it."

"My cat, Moo, had his first physical with CVH this morning and it was a wonderful experience. I myself had been anxiously anticipating the visit but as soon we got there, the atmosphere and staff were so warm and welcoming that I quickly felt at ease. Moo was pretty nervous but everyone was so sweet and gentle with him. Even though it was only our first visit, I'm already looking forward to future interactions - I think even Moo had a little extra pep in his step once we got home. Dr. Richter wanted to do bloodwork and some other basic things which is to be expected but what I really appreciated was - rather than assuming I could afford everything right then and there OR trying to shame me into it - she offered to write up an estimate of what she wanted to do and gave me a no pressure option. I was able to go ahead with everything but that was a really refreshing approach compared to past experiences.
