"This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've tried in Astoria. Whether it's pasta, pizza, or appetizers, everything is delicious. The pasta and pizza dough have the perfect texture, providing a delightful chewiness, and the amount of toppings and seasonings is just right. The waitstaff is exceptionally friendly and proactive. The menu is regularly updated, making it a great spot to visit frequently."
"I was here on New Year’s Eve for dinner time and it was absolutely busy however, I still received excellent and professional customer service from everyone who works here. Eating here was a complete delight, the salad (Insalata di Frisée ), the spaghetti (Chitarra al pomodoro) and the grilled seafood special (Grigliata Mista de Pesce e Verdure) were absolutely delicious; you can taste the freshness in their ingredients and all cooked to perfection. I was extremely satisfied with our dinner options and the restaurant itself it’s very spacious and aesthetically pleasing, feels modern, clean and rustic which I adore. Now from my honest opinion here is what I did not love about Sotto la Luna, although the food, service and ambiance surprised me in a positive way I felt the portions are on the smaller side, definitely not meant to be shared, also they don’t offer protein add ons for their pasta dishes (no chicken, meat or shrimp) so if you really care about your protein consumption I don’t think this will satisfy you and lastly we were seated so close to the door so every time the door opened we felt cold."
"I’m Italian, and I approve this place. The food was delicious, the staff Italian (not easy to find in NYC) and the atmosphere was super nice. Very sexy and homey at the same time. Recommended! It’s my go-to Italian spot now!!!"
